Herriard, St Mary

Rector: The Revd Peter Dyson (01256 861750)

St. Mary’s is a large beautiful Norman church which can be found in Herriard on the A339 between Basingstoke and Alton. Details of its history may be found here.

There are services every Sunday as follows:
1st Sunday, 11.00 a.m., Matins
2nd Sunday, 9.00 a.m., 1662 Holy Communion
3rd Sunday, 10.00 a.m., Morning Prayer
4th Sunday, 10.00 a.m., Family Service

The worship pattern encompasses a wide variety of traditions from the 1662 Communion service through to an informal monthly family service and the church receives much support from the village.  This is particularly the case at Harvest, Remembrance Sunday, the Advent evening Carol Service and Christingle and Christmas services in December.

There is also a monthly weekday communion service, at 10.00 on the 4th Thursday. The service itself is 30 minutes and is followed by coffee and refreshments.

All are welcome to all services. All the services are followed by refreshments to give us an opportunity to meet with one another.
